GoGoKid Announces Change to Application Process

GoGoKid was once a popular online English teaching platform connecting teachers with young learners in China.

In 2019, the company announced changes to its application process that generated a lot of discussion among teachers.

Since then, the landscape for teaching English online has changed dramatically. In 2021, new regulations in China required most platforms—including GoGoKid—to shut down operations for foreign teachers.

Although GoGoKid is no longer active, its story is an important part of the history of online English teaching. Many teachers got their start with the company before moving on to other platforms.
