For companies offering products or services, conversions can be defined as a signup, purchase, or other measurable action instead of a hire.

For example, a teaching position open to fluent English speakers with no degree will carry a lower fee than one requiring a 120-hour TESOL, a teaching license, and several years of experience. For products or services, fees depend on the type of action tracked (e.g., email lead vs. paid purchase).
